Deck Profile - [Genesis] Omniscience Regalia, Minerva

This is the Genesis deck I've been running since the English BT14 format, and it should stay this way until EB12 releases in English on 11/21/14. Here's the deck list, and below is a video profile on it.

Grade 3: 8
4x Omniscience Regalia, Minerva
4x Regalia of Wisdom, Angelica

Grade 2: 11
3x Witch of Grapes, Grappa
3x Witch of Ravens, Chamomile
3x Goddess of Trees, Jupiter
2x Battle Maiden, Sahohime

Grade 1: 14
4x Witch of Oranges, Valencia
3x Apple Witch, Cider
3x Ordain Owl
3x Goddess of Self-sacrifice, Kushinada
1x Shield Goddess, Aegis

Grade 0: 17
1x Vivid Rabbit (FVG)
4x Battle Maiden, Kukurihime
4x Lemon Witch, Limonccino
4x Cyber Tiger
4x Witch of Big Pots, Laurier

Other Options

Battle Maiden, Amenohoakari is an alternative FVG that you could use for the deck. Her skill is to soul charge 1 every time she boosts a Grade 3 or greater Genesis unit. This gives you a constant flow of +1 soul every turn. However, relying too much on this unit for your soul charging could end up hurting you if she gets retired. There doesn't exist too much of a problem with getting soul even without her, but she's there if you want to use her.

Witch of Frogs, Melissa is a grade 1 version of Chamomile, allowing you to +1 off of a soul blast by calling her to rear-guard for the simple cost of one Counterblast. However, in a deck that uses Counterblasts for its main win condition, Melissa might be fighting for a bit too many resources to be worth running. You would also have to either cut down on Owls or a method of soul charging to fit Melissa into the grade 1 lineup, so in the end, I left her out.

Witch of Cats, Cumin is a standard clone of... Medical Manager, I suppose was the first? On-ride or on-call, you can soul charge 1. This gives a more consistent way to soul charge throughout the game rather than relying on riding Valencia and/or Grappa, but soul charges in much smaller amounts.

Battle Maiden, Izunahime is the grade 2 10000 power vanilla for Genesis. In this deck, she could replace Sahohime as a more solid ride if needed, or as another card alongside Jupiter and the grade 3's to make a column with Ordain Owl.

Witch of Owls, Paprika is an 8000 base power grade 2 that can attack for 11000 if you have a card with Limit Break 4 on your field. This becomes active at the same time Jupiter does, and gives you another attacker that can swing unboosted. However, the 8000 base power makes her hard to defend, and she typically ends up being less useful than other options.

  1. If this is a budget build, than it is quite decent. But if not, it is one of the worst deck profiles I have ever seen.
Building a Genesis deck is quite hard due to it's qualitative support but there some units that are staple for Genesis
Battle Maiden, Amenohoakari is the key soulcharging alongside Angelica and those two are key elements.
Since I see that you posted this recent you could've used some new Regalia support for future investments as well. (Exorcism Regalia, Regalia of Fate Norn, Hesperis etc.)
I am sorry if I look somewhat agressive or you think that I think of myself somewhat better than you but just for the sake of experiment, try this deck now and you will see how well will do.

    1. Thanks for the feedback. I see why you like Amenohoakari, I just prefer the consistency Vivid Rabbit provides. As you said, Angelica is a key element, and not having her in time can hurt significantly, as not only do you lose her soul charge, but also your crossride base.

The reason I didn't include Norn, Hesperis, or the others is that this is meant for an English format. I plan on doing an updated Regalia CEO profile once EB12 releases in English.

And as far as testing, this is a deck that I've been regularly using both online and at multiple locals, regionals free fight, etc since BT14 released, and have been having very few problems with.
